P&E Lowlands at Advanced Maritime Technology Expo & Conference 2026
Three days in Amsterdam, connecting our projects, partners and technologies with the international maritime industry.
In June, P&E Lowlands exhibited at Advanced Maritime Technology Expo & Conference 2026 at RAI Amsterdam – one of the leading international meeting points for maritime electrification, decarbonisation, automation and vessel technology.
For us, being there was also a nice reflection of how P&E Lowlands is evolving.
What started with a strong focus on electric propulsion has gradually grown into increasingly complete and complex system integrations: combining propulsion, batteries, power distribution, hydrogen, automation and vessel controls into practical onboard solutions.
From technology to working systems
At AMT26, we presented P&E Lowlands in the role we increasingly take in our projects: connecting specialised technology manufacturers with shipyards, workboat builders, vessel owners and operators.
Rather than focusing on individual components, we engineer around the vessel and its operation – selecting the right technologies and making sure they work together as one system.
Our stand brought together electric propulsion, energy storage, hydrogen, power management and smart vessel technology, alongside some of the partners we work with to make these systems possible.
LIHYP: bringing hydrogen into real operations
A central part of our presence in Amsterdam was LIHYP – Linking Hydrogen Power Potentials, supported by the Interreg North Sea Programme.
Together with Urban Waterway Logistics, we presented the Belgian LIHYP Living Lab and our work on integrating hydrogen, battery storage and modular energy systems into real maritime and urban operations.
AMT26 offered a valuable international platform to share this work, exchange experiences and connect the project with companies facing similar challenges in the transition towards cleaner maritime operations.
Good conversations, new ideas
Most importantly, the three days were about people.
We had many interesting conversations with shipyards, vessel owners, operators, engineers, manufacturers and technology partners from different parts of the maritime industry.
We returned from Amsterdam with new contacts, new ideas and plenty of motivation for the next projects.
